About the York and North Yorkshire Business Environmental Forum
The York and North Yorkshire Business Environmental Forum (YNYBEF) was set up in 1997 as an independent organisation to help businesses with free environmental information and advice.
In addition to maintaining and raising environmental awareness for businesses, YNYBEF also offers a range of support and delivery mechanisms to help implement environmental actions through a number of partner organisations and the steering group.
To collate the thoughts and ideas of the partner organisations a steering group was formed. This group advises on and informs of events and practices across the region to help The Forum to offer the best information to businesses.
The current members of the steering group are:
- Business Link York and North Yorkshire
- City of York Council
- Denison Till
- Energy Efficiency Advice Centre
- Environment Agency

- Nestle
- North Yorkshire County Council
