Eligibility for additional support services

Certain parts of North Yorkshire attract additional business support services as part of a regeneration initiative known as the Objective 2 programme.

The programme is supported by the European Regional Development Fund and Yorkshire Forward (the Regional Development Agency for the Yorkshire and Humber Region).

To qualify for the service, businesses have to be located in one of the designated areas and be able to meet certain eligibility criteria. Both the designated areas and the eligibility criteria have been set by the European Union.

To find out if your business is qualifies for this project please follow the three steps below.

Step One: Is your business located within one of the blue areas on the map?	YES	NO
Step Two: Does your business:
Have less than 250 employees?	YES	NO
Have a turnover of less than £28 million?	YES	NO
Step Three: Is your business in one of the following business sectors (These are ineligible)
Retail	YES	NO
Personal services e.g. hairdressers	YES	NO
Providers of local services e.g. garages	YES	NO
Professional services e.g. accountants, solicitors	YES	NO
Primary production of agricultural products and services e.g. farms	YES	NO
Horticulture	YES	NO
If you have answered yes to Step One, yes to all of Step Two and no to all of Step Three you are very likely to be an eligible business for The Environmental Technology and Renewable Grants. Contact the forum.
