As an Environmental Business support provider, the YNYBEF delivers a number of projects across the county. These include:

Harrogate Green Business Club

The Forum is currently working with businesses in Harrogate District to help you effectively manage your energy consumption and identify ways of saving money.

This free service, which is supported by Harrogate Borough Council, will provide your organisation with:

• An environmental audit and energy walk round your site to provide baseline information on current energy usage and highlight areas where energy use can be reduced.
• Full report and Action Plan highlighting recommendations and measures you can make to reduce your company's energy use and utility bills.
• A final report collating each business' baseline information, recommendations and implementations will be provided.
• Free membership of the North Yorkshire Business Environmental Forum for continued support on all environmental issues.

The service will be provided on a first come first served basis and funding is limited.

York Green Business Club

Businesses in the city centre area of York can join the 'York Green Business Club' to learn how they can adopt environmental friendly business practices and save money. The 'club' is free and is made up of regular seminars where businesses and organisations can attend to find out how to take action. Seminars focus on Environmental Management including Waste and Recycling; Energy Efficiency; Water Efficiency; Supply Chain; Packaging Waste; Transport and Sustainable Procurement.

The club is run in partnership between the Business Environmental Forum, City of York Council and Yorwaste Ltd.

The aim of the group is for businesses to demonstrate their commitment to the environment, to increase the image of the city and ensure it remains a popular and attractive place to visit and work. The group also provides an excellent opportunity to network and share good businesses practices, and collectively ensure less waste is sent to landfill and less carbon is emitted to the atmosphere.
