Staff Training

The key to success with any environmental management plan is staff training. Staff training and staff input are vital initiatives for achieving environmental success in any organisation. Employees must understand the benefits of their actions at work (as well as at home), how they can help and the importance of their role.

Many employees will know where environmental improvements can be made and where wastage occurs. When completing environmental surveys ask your staff for their input. Many employees have innovative suggestions for reducing the organisation's environmental impact. Create 'Energy Champions' within each department who are responsible for feeding back ideas and changes and monitoring progress.
